What's It Like at JBF Headquarters?

It wasn't that long ago I posted about a package full of Cubs goodness from Jaybarkerfan's Junk, but since then another has arrived.

Some bloggers have taken us through their man caves and shown off their collections and/or their organizational skills.  My favorite is probably Wrigley Wax's set-up because his organizational skills are off the chart!

What does JBF's headquarters look like?

I bet you walk in the front door and there's a hat rack, a place to take off your shoes, maybe a charging station for his phone... AND, a shelf to set down a couple of loose packs from the LCS of big box store.  How awesome would that be?

Down the hallway you'll probably find a room with five or six card tables filled with cards.

One table for glorious vintage, including floating heads:

Another table of players who are legends...

There's probably an entire corner dedicated to cards featuring plays at the plate, the world of tatoonie, cards with throwback uniforms, and pitchers sliding.
I wonder if Nick has a copy of this one?

The living room?  Yeah, good luck finding the coffee table because that's where Wes has his bipping station.

Want to sit down and enjoy a nice meal?  Don't expect to break bread in the dining room.  Welcome to parallel and serial numbered central!

Kitchen counter?  Yep, rarer releases that fly under the radar are strewn about everywhere.

Need to wash up?  The spare bath is just down the hall, but you won't find a rubber ducky in the tub...  just oddball cards in bulk!

The basement used to be a game room with a billiards table and ping pong table, but now they're reserved for general card sorting by team.

I heard a rumor that Wes is paying middle school students with old Topps chewing gum and junk wax to sort cards for him after school.  Okay, I just made that up.  But seriously, how does he manage the large quantity of cards he must turnover in a year?

These are just some of the random questions I've mulling over in my head about the most generous trader in the blogosphere.

Here's my favorite sampling from the recent package he sent my direction.
What's so special about these four?  These, along with the floating head card at the top of the post, have found their way into my Cubs FrankenSet.  I'm still filling holes in the project that Wes, himself, got me started on.

Wes, I don't know if the dwelling I described even remotely resembles your living quarters.  Nevertheless, thank you, yet again, for sharing part of your collection with me!

  1. I'm pretty sure he has a card shop, but just hasn't told us.

    1. Wouldn't that be something? I would not put it past him.

  2. I think Wes secretly owns a printing press and manufactures his own cards. I can't think of any other explanation.

    (I do have that Maddux.)

    1. You know, I've heard that one before from another blogger in the past. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility considering how many packages he sends out.

In fact, I got another one yesterday!
