A Shot of Andrenaline

I have tomorrow's date circled on my calendar for a couple of months now.  It'll be my first Cubs game of the year!

Even though my boys in blue are playing well right now I'm still taking abuse from the Cardinal fans at work:

"Oh, you're going to the Cubs game tomorrow?  Make sure you use the restroom before you walk into Wrigley!"

Yeah, yeah. The Cubs had to bring in port-a-potties to help ease the long lines a the rest rooms during this time of construction.  Funny.

But guess what?  I don't care.  And here's reason number one:
That's right.  And I will be there in person freezing my tail off.

  1. Oh man, if I didn't know any better I'd say you knew that the Cubs were going to send Bryant down to delay his service time clock until the 16th so you could go see him on the 17th. Have fun :).

    1. Honestly, it's just dumb luck. I had a personal day at work I had to burn and a three day weekend sounded nice at the time.

Wrigley should be pretty electric tomorrow!

    1. You've obviously never sat under the upper deck at Wrigley in April. The bleacher creatures can be shirtless while those in the shade are craving a blanket... when it's in the 70s.
      I'll be wearing layers!

    2. JediJeff, you were right. I didn't get my first chill until the eighth inning. A beautiful day for baseball. Too bad the Cubs (and Bryant) flopped.
      Onwards and upwards!

  4. Awesome - I've only been fortunate enough to visit Wrigley once, it's a magical place! I hope the Cubs win!
