I Guess I Asked For It

I've been on a bit of a rant lately about the lack of blue tape used in packages.  It started with one post and then lead to another after a poorly executed Listia packaging job.

Then a PWE arrived in my mailbox.  It seemed normal enough from the outside, but when I ripped it open I found this:

Yeah.  Uh-huh.  I should have seen that coming.

It took me a while to unravel the tape, but I will say that it wasn't nearly as frustrating as someone using packing tape to "protect" a top loader.  In fact, the top loader and card saver in this instance both came out sans sticky residue!  Additional Bonus: my cat liked playing with the leftovers:

What was inside?  Nice!  2015 Topps!
Gold and silver First Home Run inserts of Javier Baez.

And . . . the one First Pitch insert I really wanted to get my hands on:
Love the shirt!
Mr. Eddie Vedder can jam AND he's a huge Cub fan.  One of my friends has gone to the Cubs' fantasy camp down in Mesa a couple of times and he actually got to play against Eddie.  How cool is that?  Baseball connects people from all walks of life.

Fun fact: I have only four 2015 Topps cards from their flagship product in my possession and they are all inserts. Yeah, I'm a little different.

So, who was the culprit that decided to have a little extra fun with the blue tape?  Jeff, from One Man's Junk (Wax), was the kind and generous soul.  He's a nice trader to send cards back and forth to AND he has lots of junk wax to help you fill your set needs.  You should take the time to go check out his blog if you haven't already.  Jeff actually was at one of the games that Will Ferrell played in and he's posted pictures!

Thanks for the cards (and tape), Jeff!
