2017 Topps team sets are available in retail outlets. Instead of purchasing the entire Mariner team set I chose to pick up the Dan Vogelbach card from Ebay.
Vogelbach wasn't included in Series 1 or the Mariners' Opening Day roster, but I think the above card is a sure fire sign that he'll be included in Series 2.
The backs are pretty much what you've seen before, but I am curious as to why Topps didn't include Vogelbach's Twitter handle. Perhaps Topps just threw the #TOPPSBASEBALL on the backside of all the team set cards? Or many they couldn't find The Vogelmontser's Twitter account? It is pretty tricky: @DanielVogelbach . . . No matter.
I'm super pumped to chase down all the parallels of this card when the time comes. Keep me in mind if you happen to pull any!
Thanks for reading!
As far as the social media handles, I bet the factory sets are treated the same way as Opening Day, with a generic hashtag for Topps. Here's hoping the Vogel-monster gets the call soon!
ReplyDeleteNice card of the Vogelmonster, can't wait to see Torrens in the update set so we can both say our favorite players were in the same flagship sets across the year.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there may be no vedder cup this year, but there's always next year :).
If you're on the look out for more Vogelbach, don't forget to hunt down his card from the Topps Now Spring Training sets. Super short print run on this set at 47.
ReplyDeleteYep, I picked one up on Ebay for $6 after the seller accepted my best offer. Thanks!
DeleteI'm glad you are continuing to collect him. Much easier on your wallet now that he gone from the Cubs!
ReplyDeleteYeah, although the next Vogelbach card I show will be my most expensive purchase ever. Ironic.
