ReplyDeleteBy the way, that's an amazing haul. I honestly would have just snatched every card related thing up at that price!
Brewers!
ReplyDeleteAnd I would have had a difficult time not trying to find a way to buy everything in site. Seriously, I might have missed a mortgage payment for all that. Just incredible.
They actually offered everything in the gym for a grand, but I had to refuse because I would have had to rent a storage unit to find room for it all until I could figure out what to do with it. Much less stressful this way!
Deletedodgers. and, in case i don't win, i have updated nearly all of my want lists for those mid t0 late 90's/early aughts... (i just finished updating 2000 yesterday)

Pirates
ReplyDeleteLike Tony, it would have been hard not to buy it all. I'm sure you will get a lot participants as that era of cards is fantastic!
Hey, I like the Cubs too!
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, that is pretty much the dream scenario I'm hoping for from every estate sale/garage sale/yard sale that I'm walking into.
Wow, you were the first person? It's basically like you had your own personal card show.
ReplyDeleteYanks and Tino!
Congrats on the anniversary. We started within a few months of each other!
I saw the plug on your blog, thanks!
DeleteYankees
ReplyDeleteI too dream of finding a sale like this some day. Congrats on stumbling onto that awesome treasure trove. Happy 5-Year Blogiversary!
Reds! And I'd be interested in any Barry Larkin cards most definitely (whether I win the contest or not)!
ReplyDeleteYankees, Glavine, congrats on the anniversary !!
ReplyDeleteMets, Braves (always looking for new Chipper Jones).
ReplyDeleteBravo on the 5 year anniversary. Nice find with the estate sale stuff too. Hope you find a bunch of cool stuff.

ReplyDeleteWhat a blast to go through all of those binders and boxes. Keep up the excellent work on the blog!
Nice find congrats on that and the anniversary. I'll join the contest: Mariners.
ReplyDeleteNice haul.. congrats! And thanks for taking the handwritten challenge!
ReplyDeleteAs far as mid/late 90s guys, I'd be down for any Ken Caminiti, Bonds, or A-rod.
It was fun and I'm always up for a new challenge.
DeleteMan, there was a boat load of Bonds and A-rod in the two boxes I've been able to sort through. Only two Caminiti cards so far.
Cubs! Congrats on the milestone, and the great find!
ReplyDeleteCubs here. And for individual players, anybody who won ROY or All-Star Game MVP.
ReplyDeleteI've got a plug for the contest in my blog

Congrats on the milestone, Redsox.
ReplyDeleteReds. Congrats. And a preemptive congrats on your ten-year.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Let's not get ahead of ourselves here!
DeleteIt's under serious consideration that I will shut the blog down when the Cubs finally realize the dream of "next year". Hopefully that's before my ten-year!

Bill Mueller being pinched by Godzilla will be from here forth etched into my soul. I root for The Yankees and "El Duque" Orlando Hernandez is my favorite player from that era.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I shared this on goggle plus.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it! Thanks!
DeleteCongrats on 5 years!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Oakland Athletics
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 5--Blue Jays for me

Congrats on your blogiversary! Arizona Diamondbacks
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 5 years. My favorite team is the Cardinals, and I suppose Mark McGwire would count as a player who made his name in the mid to late 90s, even though he was around in the late 80s too.
ReplyDeletePromoted it here yesterday:

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 5 years! I am just one short of you lol. Gotta add you to my blog list too as I am always looking for new reads.
ReplyDeleteGreat pickups up there and those were my favorite years of collecting and especially being a 90's insert fanatic!
I am a Yanks fan. But a fan of collecting anything in general.
Contest is now closed. Thanks to everyone for participating and especially to those who plugged it on their blogs. Everyone in before this comment is good to go.
ReplyDeleteI'll get to the randomizing when I've got some more time. Lots of coaching responsibilities this week.

ReplyDeleteI'm late to enter and that's cool, but wanted to congratulate you on your blogiversary and nice to have a handwritten letter within a post done by handwritten letter. I saw a couple of these but didn't know who originated it, so now I have to read Gavin's post. I might just have to try this when I get some free time.
ReplyDeleteHow come I am never a part of these fun baseball card excursions?
