2014 Crackin' Wax Holiday Gift Exchange, Part I

If my memory serves me correctly I think I signed up for the 2014 Crackin' Wax Holiday Gift Exchange back in November.  I signed up to participate and was quickly introduced to Elfster.com, which made the gift giving on my end a complete and total snap. Elfster.com provided me with all the pertinent information I needed to put together a nice secret gift package for the name I drew. Honestly it was some of the easiest holiday shopping I have done in a long time.

In other news, MY package arrived from my secret elf!  There's nothing better when you're battling a cold than a surprise gift!  That'll lift the spirits for sure!

The contents of the package were sliding around a bit, which is a sound I'm familiar with, but not when baseball cards are involved.  Frankly, I was a little concerned at first, but then I cracked into the package and saw why things were shifting and I was quite relieved.

My gift had been wrapped in a t-shirt.  It's one of those tag-less types and it's super soft.  Cool.
Here's a shot of the front of the shirt (left) and the back logo (on the right):

I guess if the return address wasn't enough, this shirt should remove all doubt as to who drew my name in the gift exchange!
I absolutely love this card, and the note that Topher added to the inside.  Merry Christmas to you, too, Topher!

In my excitement I forgot to take a picture of the box which was previously wrapped in the shirt.  When one retreats to "little kid mode" it's hard to remember to document such things!  By the way, if I recall correctly, it was exquisitely wrapped.
The package I wrapped?  Well, let's just hope the recipient isn't really big on perfectly folded corners and the pattern of the wrapping paper lining up.  It's the thought that counts, right?
 Woo-Hoo!  Packing peanuts!
Ooooooh... and look what's underneath the peanuts!
Again, a tip to the cap to Topher for the excellent wrapping jobs!  Look at what we have here, a nice selection of packages which all seem to have same dimensions: 2.5" by 3.5".  Whatever could be inside?

You'll have to come back the next few days to see what's inside the little presents.  I hate to be a tease, but my cat got bored with the box and is now trying to eat the packing peanuts.  From watching Topher's group break videos I'm sure he can relate.

Happy Holidays, everyone!

  1. While I'd love to take all of the credit, it was actually my wife that did all of the wrapping. Also, my cats LOVE packing peanuts, too. lol
