Trading Card Database

So, I've taken the plunge.

I spent some of my free time the past couple of weeks entering my Dan Vogelbach collection into the Trading Card Database.

I have 300+ unique cards in my collection, but they weren't all listed in the database. I'm not sure I have the proper level of authority to create a listing for them. Honestly, I'm not that worried about it.
I was pretty stoked when I found that I had over 50% of the cards listed in the database, because I don't have many of the 1/1's or printing plates which are listed.

I was also pleased to find I'm at the top of the VOGELMONSTER leader board within The Trading Card Database.

Behold!
I also took the time to list all of my Vogelbach duplicates and I learned through a quick search that 26 different duplicates are desired by other collectors. Maybe I'll initiate a trade, but probably not.

I think I just like knowing I'm atop of VOGELMONSTER Collecting Universe. It brings me a sense of calm and pride.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my accomplishment!

  1. Wooo! Congrats, Tom! I'm #1 in Brad Sorensen, but I can almost guarantee there isn't any PC competition for me there. Anybody else seeking his cards is building a set or is possibly a Chargers fan. Your Voglemonster collection certainly blows any my PCs away, though.

  6. You better have more than anyone, I wouldn't even know who the guy was if this blog didn't exist.

    1. I think you should do it. You never know... someone may look at your list on TCDB and offer up some cards you don't already have.

  9. I've never used trading card database before, but I have entered all my player collections on google sheets. Since I'm looking for another major project, is something like this worth it in the long run?

    1. I think you'll have to ask someone else. There's lots of things to do once you have some cards entered... like creating a want list or trade list... and starting trades!

  11. Cool, didn't know the database would do this. Might have to enter a couple of my player collections. Though it'll probably have to wait until I have three spare days for data entry.
