Part 13: Vogelbach on 2017 Cardboard

I'm still hunting multiple websites for Dan Vogelbach cards which have eluded me during the 2017 baseball card collecting year, but the chase is finally starting to slow. I figure by the time I finish this series of posts we'll be counting down the days for 2018 Topps Series 1 to hit the shelves.

I'm going to go in chronological order from the first cards produced to the most recent. Each post will contain all of the Dan Vogelbach cards I've acquired from that set and I'll make a short mention of the ones I'm still on the look out for.

Round 13: 2017 Topps Triple Threads

Triple Threads, another high end release, first appeared in the middle of October. The card design is aesthetically pleasing, the cards are on thick card stock, and the parallels are done up quite nicely. The only negatives from this collector's point of view are the sticker autographs and the price point, which is north of $200 per box of 14 cards.
It took me some time to track down the gold parallel at a price more to my liking, but the other three came quickly and at bargain prices.

2017 Triple Threads Haves (4):
2017 Triple Threads Needs (5):
#RA-DV - Topps Triple Threads (Ruby), 1/1
#RA-DV - Topps Triple Threads, all the "white whale" printing plates (x4)

I'm content with where I'm at on Triple Threads. If I see a 1/1 at a reasonable price, then I'll jump on it, but for the most part I consider them to be luxuries I can live without.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to enter my Favorite Card of 2017 Contest!

  1. Did Vogelbach only have autos in Triple Threads? No base cards?

  2. Nope, no base cards. Just the auto.
Topps went crazy with the autographed rookie card this year!
