Bring on the Conlon!

I've been in a little bit of a collecting lull as of late. I did manage to send out one package to each member of the #SuperTraders before my spring break expired, which really helped empty out my trade box. In the meanwhile I'm still waiting for a 2016 product to hit the shelves that I must build from packs.  I'm hoping this year's Stadium Club design will force my hand, but only time will tell.

I needed a new cardboard project to consume the little free time I have left. So, much like my 1978, 1984, and 1987 Topps set building projects of the past I've decided to try to build another set using my blogging connections.
Except this time it'll be the 1,430 card monster known as the Conlon Collection, which was spread out over five years (1991-95).  Yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment.
I love all the histories, anecdotal stories, nicknames, and feats that the series highlights. Plus, the photography is pretty sweet.

Here's my want/have list.  Or, you can hit up the link at the top of my blog.

If you have some duplicates or some Conlon you need to rid yourself of, then I'm your man!  E-mail me or leave a comment and I'll get back to you as quickly as my teaching/coaching gigs allow.

Thanks, and wish me luck!

  1. I should have a literal shedload (as the Brits say) to send you in a few weeks -- once I get through sorting out that Christmas Haul that is currently in 5 Monster boxes.

  3. I have a large stack of spare Conlons hidden somewhere in my room, I'll try and dig it out and see what I can help you with! It warms my heart that someone is trying to build this, as it's probably in my Top 5 baseball card sets ever made.

  4. I've picked up a fair share of Conlons @ the flea market over the years and I'm pretty sure I have a few stacks laying around. If you can email me a reminder... I'll pull them out and send them your way when I get home from work today.
