Folder of Fun: Bull Durham - NEW ADDITIONS

The Folder of Fun, as I like to call it, has been in the works for about three years. That's about the time I stopped buying retail and hobby packs and began tracking down cards which fit a certain general description: FUN.  Here's a link to the first post in this series if you'd like to go back and catch up.

Two days ago I showed off Bull Durham cards from 2016 Topps Archives. I wasn't planning on posting these promotional cards from 1988 when they arrived, but they came yesterday and are more phenomenal than I could have hoped.

These promo cards are 4" by 5" in size, are similar to the 1975 Topps design, and each card has a bio on the reverse side and a blurb at the bottom stating, "Coming this summer from Orion Pictures."

I just wanted to give a big Thank You to David who originally caught my attention with a post of these cards on the A Pack To Be Named Later blog.

I hope you enjoyed the bios on the backs of the cards.

And remember, don't think too much. It'll only hurt the ball club.

  1. The Nuke image selection is an odd choice, but I wouldn't mind spending some time between innings with Millie.

  2. It'd be awesome to get Tim Robbins to sign that card. Lol. It's not often you see cards featuring ballplayers in their chonies.

  3. Bull Durham was a great movie and I love this set. I agree with Fuji, it'd be neat to get autographs on these cards.
