Contest #1 for Spot in My 1st Group Break

I've been a participant in groups breaks during the last three years or so, but I've never had the time and/or motivation to host my own.  I know Allen & Ginter is going live in about four weeks and it seems like the blogosphere always goes hole hog on A&G.  So, perhaps my timing isn't great in this instance.  I'm on the road right now, but we'll see if I can get this thing done before Independence Day weekend and A&G's release date.

Here's the down and dirty details for the contest:
What you have to do: I'm attending the Cubs game in Pittsburgh tomorrow night (Wednesday, June 11th) and all you have to do make some comment on how you'd like the Cubs to win the game. Yes, I'm going to limit you to one entry for this contest, thus only one comment is required.
Deadline for contest: 7:05pm Eastern Time, June 11th (first pitch of the game); which gives you twenty-four hours from the time this post went live.
Contest Prize: IF the Cubs win, then I will randomize all the entries and the winner will be able to select a team of their choice in the group break!
Disclaimer: No Cubs win = no contest winner.  So, I hope your comments pack a punch, because I want to see a win and I'd like to give away a slot!

What's in the group break:  I have three swell boxes picked out from three different years.  If I find something else moderately interesting on my current travels we'll add that to the mix as well.

The big details reveal post about the break will be after I return from my trip.  That post will contain the price of the break, how to make payment, the boxes in the break, and all the other details.

You may have noticed how the title mentions this as Contest #1.  Yep, there will be a second opportunity when we're in Philadelphia.  So, stay tuned for for another chance to enter this coming weekend!

Now, start rooting and cheering for my Cubs!

  5. Normally, as a Brewers fan who has really super loud obnoxious Cubs fans in his family, I would have a difficult time hoping for the Cubs to win. But, with the Cubs playing the Pirates, I truly hope that they win by hitting 7 homeruns, all of which are punctuated by bat flips, pirouettes, ballet dancing, and moonwalking.

Because that will *really* aggravate those guys in Pittsburgh. ;-)

    1. A pirouette? Wow... I think that would be a new one. I'll keep my eye for such grandiose show-boating!

  7. Cubs win 11-10 on catcher's interference in the 9th!

  8. Cubs win on an Andrew McCutchen heel turn (a la wrestling) who pushes a Darwin Barney pop fly over the fence for a home run. McCutchen opens his jersey to reveal a Cubs one underneath.

Also, I hope you buy the $11,000 seats from Stub Hub for the festivities

    1. We snagged two tickets from StubHub for $17.50 each. We're sitting in "Field Box 5" down the left field line... face value is $41 a pop. I'm pretty happy.

  10. Go Cubs because hey, it's the Pirates and they deserve to lose after knocking the Reds out of the one game (coin flip) playoffs last year.

  11. Let's go Cubbies!! Cubs win in the 19th inning when the Pirates intentionally walk the bases loaded and the pitcher throws the next pitch into the dugout just to end the game.
